Layers Bakery in Subiaco WA is a well-established artisan bakery known for high quality pastries, breads and viennoiseries. With strong customer demand and continued growth, we will be expanding our operations by the end of the year.
Currently operating 5 days per week, we will soon transition to 7-day trading, increasing our production volume and product range.
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Pastry Chef to join our team on a full time basis.
You will be responsible for daily production in a fast-paced, quality driven environment, including:
- Managing and producing all cake production, including large cakes, celebration cakes and catering orders
- Assisting with custom and special cake orders to meet customer requirements
- Preparing and producing viennoiserie, laminated dough and pastries
- Laminating different types of dough and maintaining product consistency
- Producing High Quality croissants, pastries and other french style baked products
- Preparing pastry fillings, creams, custards and baked components
- Maintaining consistency, quality and presentation standards
- Ensuring food safety and hygiene standards are met
- Maintaining a clean and organised workspace
Requirements:
- A minimum of 2 years or more verifiable work experience as Pastry Chef
- Experience with chocolate work and tempering is highly regarded
- Strong knowledge of laminated dough production, viennoiserie and cake production
- Ability to work efficiently in a high volume environment
- Be punctual, reliable, highly organized and detail-oriented

Salary range is $77,000 to $82,000 per year + superannuation (depending on experience)
