iTalent Recruitment is currently recruiting Aged Care Workers / Personal Care Assistants for opportunities with Australian aged care providers.

The role involves providing high-quality, person-centred care and support to older people in residential aged care settings. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to support residents with their daily living needs while promoting dignity, independence, safety and wellbeing.

Key responsibilities may include:

• Assisting residents with personal care, including showering, dressing, grooming and toileting
• Supporting mobility, transfers and safe use of mobility equipment
• Assisting with meals, hydration and feeding where required
• Providing companionship and emotional support
• Supporting residents with daily routines and activities
• Observing and reporting changes in residents’ health, behaviour or wellbeing
• Following individual care plans and organisational procedures
• Maintaining accurate care documentation and progress notes
• Supporting infection prevention, manual handling and workplace safety requirements
• Working collaboratively with nurses, care staff, allied health professionals and families
• Respecting residents’ privacy, dignity, cultural needs and individual preferences

Requirements:

• Relevant aged care, healthcare, nursing assistant or personal care qualification
• Previous aged care or disability support experience preferred
• Good English communication skills
• Compassionate and professional approach to care
• Ability to work effectively in a team
• Willingness to undertake required screening, police checks and health requirements
• Flexibility to work across different shifts, including weekends where required
