We are a niche consulting multi-disciplinary firm with offices in Sydney and Newcastle. We have a convenient, modern and comfortable work environment in its start-up phase. We are looking for a Plans and Permits officer to join our team.
Our firm primarily specialises in the architectural design of residential buildings, including dwellings and medium-density construction. The majority of work will relate to existing buildings that have been damaged by fires, tree impacts and vehicle impacts. A part of the role would include lodging to council portals and preparing documentation relating to permits.
Necessary skills include:
Lodging DA Applications onto the portal, managing the DA process, preparing Statement of Environment, Waste Management Plans, etc.
Manage multiple projects and processes concurrently by assisting with preparation and review of documents for lodgement to council portals
Co-ordinate with subconsultants, including heritage, bushfire, stormwater, structural, civil, surveyors, and arborists.
Drive the design process with building designers, engineers, sub consultants by monitoring project progress
Experienced in using Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe.
Strong knowledge of Australian Building Standards and the National Construction Code (NCC)
Proactively identifying opportunities to develop processes and contributing to continuous improvement in procedures
