Help shape Australia’s first High Speed Rail program from the front end.

This is a rare senior leadership opportunity on a once-in-a-generation landmark national rail program. You will lead the ECI and tender phase for a full turnkey railway systems package, working across trains, ETCS, ticketing, communications, security, tunnel systems and wider fire and life safety scope.
This opportunity is open to both local and international candidates, with visa sponsorship and relocation costs available for suitably qualified professionals.

Who you will be working with:

You will join a global rail technology and infrastructure leader from bid through delivery of the railway systems package for Australia’s first High Speed Rail program.
The focus is the systems and trains package, including signalling / ETCS, rolling stock, ticketing, communications, security, CCTV, access control, tunnel ventilation, fire systems and fire and life safety systems.

Duties and responsibilities include:

• Lead the team through design activity and formal bid submission
• Own the customer interface during the early contractor involvement process
• Translate preliminary design work into a clear, deliverable and commercially credible bid
• Coordinate technical, commercial and project delivery input across the tender
• Shape the transition from bid strategy into future delivery planning
• Support key trade-off decisions across systems, trains, partners and customer requirements

We are looking for someone with:

• High Speed Rail experience strongly desired, ideally from an overseas HSR program
• Strong vendor, contractor or major delivery partner experience
• Proven leadership of large rail bids, ECI phases or complex tender environments
• Turnkey rail, metro, signalling, rolling stock or multi-system delivery experience
• Strong understanding of systems and trains rather than civil-only infrastructure
• Clear, practical communication style with credibility across government, customers and technical teams
