The Opportunity

Due to continued growth, the business is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Contract Administrator or Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the Sydney team.

This role would suit someone with a strong construction background who enjoys the commercial side of project delivery and is looking to broaden their experience into claims, disputes, commercial advisory, and potentially expert witness services.

You'll be working closely with experienced industry leaders and have the opportunity to lead and mentor junior team members while managing your own portfolio of projects and clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Contract administration across major construction projects
• Commercial management and project cost control
• Preparation and assessment of claims and variations
• Contractual analysis and dispute support
• Quantum and delay claim assessments
• Client-facing advisory services
• Commercial reporting and risk analysis
• Supporting expert witness and dispute resolution assignments
• Mentoring and developing junior consultants and contract administrators
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships

About You

• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, or similar
• Strong background in contract administration and commercial construction
• Experience working for a developer, Tier 1 contractor, Tier 2 contractor, consultancy, or commercial advisory business
• Strong contractual knowledge and commercial acumen
• Claims, disputes, quantum, or forensic commercial experience highly regarded
• Exposure to expert witness work advantageous but not essential
• Ability to build strong client relationships and communicate effectively with stakeholders
• Leadership capability and willingness to mentor junior staff

Ideal Background

• Hold a Quantity Surveying qualification obtained in the UK or Ireland
• Have a minimum of 2 years Australian construction industry experience essential
• Have worked across commercial construction projects for contractors, developers, or consultancies
