Are you ready to step beyond compliance and take genuine ownership of a growing accounting practice?

We're looking for an experienced Tax Practice Manager - or an ambitious Senior Accountant ready to make the move into leadership - to take the reins of Alice Tax, a well-established Alice Springs firm with $1.2M in annual fees.

This isn't a seat-warming role. You'll work directly alongside the principal to shape the firm's direction, lead a capable team, and play a key part in a potential merger with a national group. For the right person, this is a career-defining opportunity.

The Role

You'll take ownership of practice operations while maintaining high standards across client delivery and compliance.

Day-to-day responsibilities include:

• Managing workflow, deadlines, and team productivity
• Reviewing tax work and ensuring quality across all lodgements
• Providing client advisory services and building long-term client relationships
• Mentoring and developing junior team members
• Collaborating with the principal on strategy, growth, and the firm's evolving future

About You

You're a confident, capable accountant who's equally comfortable with technical work and leading people.

You'll likely bring:

• CA or CPA qualification
• Strong tax and business advisory experience
• Experience leading or supervising a team - or a clear readiness to step up
• Excellent communication skills and a genuine approach to client relationships
• A proactive mindset and the desire to contribute beyond compliance
