At MYAC Resources, we partner with leading engineering and manufacturing workshops across Western Australia. We are currently seeking trade-qualified or highly experienced Sheet Metal Workers / Fabricators for multiple long-term positions based south of the river in Perth.
About the Role
We are looking for well-rounded Sheet Metal Workers who have solid experience working in and around ducting and HVAC commercial systems, but who possess a broad, versatile skillset across all types of light to medium gauge sheet metal fabrication.
Light Gauge Material Processing: Marking out, cutting, rolling, and folding light gauge galvanized steel, stainless steel, and aluminium (typically 0.6mm to 3mm).
Machinery Operation: Setting up and operating standard workshop machinery including CNC brake presses, guillotines, rollers, lockformers, and plasma cutters.
Welding & Joining: Utilizing MIG, TIG (on stainless/aluminium), and spot-welding processes to achieve clean, high-precision finishes.
Blueprint Interpretation: Reading and working directly off detailed mechanical, structural, and HVAC engineering drawings to exact tolerances.
What We Are Looking For
Experience: Proven experience in sheet metal workshop fabrication, specifically with exposure to ducting components, ventilation systems, or light-gauge architectural/industrial fabrication.
Technical Skill: Confident setting up workshop machinery (folders, guillotines) and reading technical drawings without close supervision.
Location: Preference will be given to candidates currently based locally in Perth, WA.
Safety First: A strong commitment to workshop safety standards and a proactive, reliable work ethic.
Tickets: Current Construction White Card is essential; High-Risk Work Licences (Forklift) are highly regarded.
