South East Regional Hospital (SERH) is part of the Bega Valley Health Service within the Southern Coastal Network. SERH is a 99 bed hospital and offers emergency medicine; surgery (orthopaedics, urology, ophthalmology, general surgery, ENT surgery, obstetrics); acute inpatient services including fully staffed intensive care unit, subacute rehabilitation (SARU), paediatric, maternity and mental health beds; renal dialysis and oncology outpatient clinics; hospital in the home (HITH); pathology collection; pharmacy; and medical imaging (x-ray, CT and ultrasound).

What you'll be doing
Provide best practice evidence based clinical services to achieve quality patient outcomes.
Undertake supervision and education within the clinical environment of junior medical staff and other relevant staff to foster safe clinical practice
Utilise information systems to enable informed decision making and care planning.
Communicate with staff and clinicians to ensure quality and continuity of care.
Actively participate in risk management and quality programs to improve organisational processes and own practices.
Comply with relevant legislation and regulations, NSW Ministry of Health policies and SNSWLHD procedures to assist in meeting Activity Based Funding, Commonwealth and State targets.
Fellowship with the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (FANZCA) or equivalent overseas qualification either eligible for Expedited Specialist Pathway or the ANZCA Specialist Pathway.
Registered or eligible for registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
Demonstrated current clinical experience in Anaesthesia at an appropriate level.
Demonstrated understanding of clinical governance principles including the National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) standards.
Demonstrated ability to work in a multidisciplinary team and provide effective leadership.
Demonstrated commitment to teaching, clinical research, simulation and quality improvement.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients, colleagues and staff; and effective communication through the use of information technology and written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
