Where you'll be working
The Eurobodalla Regional Hospital (ERH) is a new hospital currently under construction on the stunning Southern NSW coast, set to open in 2027 bringing state-of-the-art facilities and expanded services to the region.

Located in south-east Moruya, under four hours' drive from Sydney and only two hours from Canberra. ERH will be larger than both the current Batemans Bay and Moruya hospitals combined. Designed with future growth in mind, ERH has the capacity to expand as the needs of the community evolve.

What you'll be doing

Join Eurobodalla Regional Hospital as an Intensivist and play a key role in developing critical care services within a brand-new hospital. You'll provide expert care to patients with complex and life-threatening conditions, work alongside a multidisciplinary team across the hospital, and contribute to building strong clinical practices, pathways and standards from the outset. Be part of a new chapter in healthcare for the Eurobodalla community, where your experience and leadership can help shape the way critical care is delivered for years to come.

Southern NSW Local Health District has the potential to support visa sponsorship for eligible applicants who meet the essential criteria for the role.

Selection Criteria: * Registration with the Medical Board of Australia as a Specialist in Intensive Care Medicine (or eligibility for at the time of commencement) or approved specialist international medical graduate pathway.

• Demonstrated recent experience delivering contemporary, evidence-based Intensive Care Medicine appropriate to a regional referral hospital.
• Demonstrated commitment to research, quality improvement, with willingness to contribute to development of a rural academic critical care hub.
• Demonstrated commitment to teaching, supervision and mentoring of junior medical staff, including simulation-based education and workforce development.
• Demonstrated clinical leadership and ability to contribute to establishment, development and continuous improvement of critical care services across Southern NSW Local Health District.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across specialties including Emergency Medicine, Anaesthesia, Medicine, and Surgery to deliver high quality patient care.
• Highly developed communication, interpersonal and leadership skills with commitment to a positive, respectful culture.
• Participate in an equitable on-call roster and respond on site within a reasonable timeframe.
