Where you'll be working
The Eurobodalla Regional Hospital (ERH) is a new hospital currently under construction on the stunning Southern NSW coast, set to open in 2027 bringing state-of-the-art facilities and expanded services to the region.

Located in south-east Moruya, under four hours' drive from Sydney and only two hours from Canberra. ERH will be larger than both the current Batemans Bay and Moruya hospitals combined. Designed with future growth in mind, ERH has the capacity to expand as the needs of the community evolve.

What you'll be doing

Join Eurobodalla Regional Hospital as a FACEM and be part of shaping emergency care from the ground up in a brand-new hospital. You will provide clinical leadership and high quality emergency care across a broad range of presentations, while working alongside a multidisciplinary team to support junior doctors, contribute to education and clinical improvement, and help establish the systems, culture and standards that will underpin emergency services for the future. This is more than a clinical role it is an opportunity to help shape the future of emergency care in Eurobodalla.

Southern NSW Local Health District has the potential to support visa sponsorship for eligible applicants who meet the essential criteria for the role.

Selection Criteria * Evidence of registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Specialist, Emergency Medicine or Specialist, General Practice (FRACGP or FACRRM) with additional advanced qualifications in Emergency Medicine. Relevant senior experience and recency of practice within Emergency Medicine in Australia or equivalent setting.

• Demonstrated recency of practice and knowledge, experience, skills and high standards of clinical practice in Emergency Medicine appropriate to the requirements of the position.
• Demonstrated skills and attitudes appropriate for a Senior Medical Practitioner, including modelling a high standard of professional behaviours to the multidisciplinary team.
• Demonstrated effective clinical communication through the use of information technology and written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team, build collaborative partnerships and provide leadership of a team.
• Demonstrated experience, understanding and commitment to patient safety and other aspects of clinical governance.
• Demonstrated commitment to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching of medical, nursing and allied health professionals and to continuing self-education, research and quality improvement and demonstrated commitment to behaviours which align to the NSW Health CORE values and SNSWLHD Values, goals and strategies
• Commitment to participate in an equitable medical roster, including evenings, weekend shifts and the on-call roster, and ability to respond on site within a reasonable time frame.
