The Eurobodalla Regional Hospital (ERH) is a new hospital currently under construction on the stunning Southern NSW coast, set to open in 2027 bringing state-of-the-art facilities and expanded services to the region.

Located in south-east Moruya, under four hours' drive from Sydney and only two hours from Canberra. ERH will be larger than both the current Batemans Bay and Moruya hospitals combined. Designed with future growth in mind, ERH has the capacity to expand as the needs of the community evolve.

What you'll be doing

Join Eurobodalla Regional Hospital as a Staff Specialist in Obstetrics & Gynaecology and be part of shaping women's healthcare in a brand-new hospital. You will provide high-quality, comprehensive care across obstetrics and gynaecology, supporting women through pregnancy, birth and a broad range of gynaecological presentations. Working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to clinical leadership, education, supervision and the development of contemporary models of care. This is an opportunity to bring your expertise to a new facility and help build the future of women's health services for the Eurobodalla and South Coast communities.

Southern NSW Local Health District has the potential to support visa sponsorship for eligible applicants who meet the essential criteria for the role.

Selection Criteria: * Specialist registration or eligible for specialist registration as a Medical Practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (FRANZCOG) and/or equivalent specialist recognition.

• Demonstrated recency of practice and clinical expertise in O&G with demonstration of competency working independently with complex emergencies, at the role delineation of the service.
• Evidence of continuing medical education and self-monitoring/audit practices consistent with the scope of practice requirements of the position.
• Proven capacity and/or experience in the provision of effective high-quality services, demonstrated through successful clinical practice in an environment appropriate to the requirements of the position including evidence of participation in quality improvement activities relevant to the specialty.
• Demonstrated commitment to teaching with experience in teaching both undergraduate and post graduate students and other staff of the hospital.
• Demonstrate the skills and attitudes appropriate as a Senior Medical Practitioner including modelling a high standard of professional behaviour to junior medical staff.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively and harmoniously with medical and other health services colleagues as part of a multi-disciplinary health care team and demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients, colleagues, and staff and to work as an effective member of the clinical team across multiple sites.
• Demonstrated commitment to behaviours which align to the NSW Health CORE values and SNSWLHD Values, goals and strategies.
