The Opportunity
We are seeking a dedicated and talented Study Director to join our Immunoassay team on a permanent, full-time basis at our Thebarton site in South Australia.

Our Immunoassay team focus on science in ligand-binding assays, which are molecularly targeted therapies. These are the foundation of precision medicine and are the focus of many exciting drug developments. Many therapeutic indications for chemical and biological therapeutics involve interactions of a ligand, chemical drug, protein or antibody with its target. Ligand-binding immunoassays harness this power and typically use target, antibodies (commercially available or anti-idiotype) or drug product to build a sandwich immunoassay for quantitation of the analyte of interest.

At Agilex Biolabs, our Scientists have extensive experience in a broad range of ligand binding assays, employing various formats and chemistries, including Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays (ELISA), Electrochemiluminescent immunoassays (ECLIA), and the Gyrolab automated assay platform.

What You’ll Do
As a Study Director - Immunoassay, you will play a crucial role performing Study Director functions for immunoassay-based validations and analysis with key responsibilities that include:

• Acting as Study Director with overall responsibility for assigned studies
• Setting, managing, and delivering study timelines in line with company and client requirements
• Communicating effectively with external stakeholders (clients, CROs) and internal teams (operations, QA, management)
• Ensuring scientific integrity and regulatory compliance through review of study data
• Troubleshooting scientific issues in collaboration with R&D, operations, and management
• Coordinating study progression with operations and scientific leads
• Supporting method transfer and validation activities with R&D
• Providing additional support to the bioanalytical team as required

About You
We're looking for someone with:

• A degree in Life Sciences or related field
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a regulated bioanalytical laboratory (essential)
• Demonstrated competency to perform Study Director tasks
• Strong problem-solving, analytical thinking, and data interpretation skills
• Proven ability to prioritise, multitask, and meet deadlines with high accuracy
• Ability to work independently with initiative, reliability, and professionalism
• High ethical standards, particularly regarding confidentiality
• Experience communicating complex scientific information to clients
• Familiarity with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS), preferably Watson (desirable).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
