We are seeking a motivated and reliable Wood Machinist/CNC and Edgebander Operator to join our cabinetry production team.
The successful applicant will work within our Armadale factory, operating machinery to cut, machine and prepare cabinetry components for production.
This is a permanent, full-time, factory-based position working Monday to Friday, with overtime available as required.
Key Responsibilities
Operating CNC machinery and edgebanding equipment
Cutting, machining and preparing cabinetry components
Setting up and adjusting machinery for production requirements
Reading and interpreting plans, drawings and cutting lists
Checking measurements and finished components for accuracy
Monitoring machinery and identifying production issues
Completing routine machine cleaning and basic maintenance
Handling materials safely and correctly
Maintaining a clean and safe work area
Following workplace procedures and safety requirements
Working efficiently to meet production deadlines
Contributing ideas for continuous improvement
About You The successful candidate will:
Have wood-machining, CNC or edgebanding experience
Have cabinetry, joinery or manufacturing experience
Have strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality
Be reliable, hardworking and safety-conscious
Have good problem-solving skills
Be able to identify issues and suggest practical improvements
Show initiative and a willingness to learn
Be able to follow instructions and established procedures
Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members
Be able to work independently and as part of a team
Work well under pressure and meet production deadlines
Hold valid Australian working rights
Relevant qualifications and previous experience in wood machining, cabinet making, joinery or a similar manufacturing environment will be highly regarded.
