Are you an experienced Maintenance Fitter currently living in Australia and looking for a long-term opportunity in regional NSW?

We're working with a well-established FMCG manufacturing business in Cooma that is expanding its maintenance team and is looking for experienced Mechanical Maintenance Fitters.

482 visa sponsorship/transfer support may be available for eligible candidates already in Australia.

If you're currently in Australia on a temporary visa and have the right trade qualifications and Australian maintenance experience, this could be an opportunity to secure a long-term position with an established employer.

Please note: this is a local-hire opportunity. Candidates must currently be living in Australia.

About the Role

This is a hands-on Maintenance Fitter position supporting a busy FMCG manufacturing facility.

You'll be responsible for keeping production equipment operating safely and reliably through:

• Breakdown response and fault finding
• Preventative and corrective maintenance
• Mechanical troubleshooting
• Maintenance of conveyors, chains, hydraulics and pneumatics
• Supporting plant and workshop maintenance
• Completing maintenance work orders through CMMS
• Working closely with production and engineering teams
• Maintaining accurate maintenance records
• Supporting a safe and efficient production environment

About You

To be successful, you'll have:

• Minimum Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade – essential
• Minimum 1 year Australian maintenance experience – essential
• Previous FMCG or manufacturing maintenance experience
• Strong mechanical fault-finding skills
• Experience working in an industrial or continuous production environment
• A reliable and safety-focused approach
• Willingness to relocate to Cooma, NSW

Visa support may be available for suitable candidates who:

• Are currently in Australia
• Hold relevant Mechanical Trade qualifications
• Have Australian maintenance experience

This may suit candidates currently holding a temporary Australian visa who are looking for an employer-sponsored pathway.

Relocation Support

Moving to regional NSW is a big decision, so the employer can provide relocation assistance of up to $5,000 to help make the move easier.

Shift Times

The role operates across the following shifts:

• Morning: 6:00am – 2:00pm
• Afternoon: 2:00pm – 10:00pm
• Late: 3:00pm – 11:00pm
